Eve Buff

Since people have been asking about, here is the details for the upcoming Eve buff.

Passive: Remade as Theft of Vitae: 5/7.5/10% of all damage dealt to nearby enemy champions by any source is gained as life.

(Q)Hate Spike: AP ratio dropped from 25/40/55/70/85 (+0.28) to 25/40/55/70/85(+0.25). Second Hit does 100% damage, up from 50%. Second Hit prioritizes nearby low health enemy champions instead of a random target.

(W)Shadow Walk: Duration down to 10/15/20/25/30 from 20/30/40/50/60. Hit effect when in stealth removed entirely. Gives 14/18/22/26/30% bonus movement speed during shadow walk and for 4 seconds after shadow walk. Initial fade time reduced to 1s. Maximum fade time reduced to 4s. (from 1.5s and 5s)

(E)Ravage: Damage reduced to 70/120/170/220/270(+0.7) from 80/135/190/255/320 (+1) Mana cost reduced to 80/90/110/120/130 from 90/105/120/135/150 Ravage now reduces 5/10/15/20/25 armor and magic resistance from the target (down from 10/14/18/22/26). Additionally, she gains twice the stolen armor and magic resistance (10/20/30/40/50) for 5 seconds. (up from 0/0/0/0/0). Ravage range increased to 350 from 250. Ravage incorporates a short dash to the target. (Tentative) Ravage has no backstab requirement. Ravage cooldown decreased to 8 from 9.

(R)Ultimate: Remade as Exuding Embrace. Now applies a damage over time ability to all enemy champions in a small area (Range 600, Size: 250). This effect does 250/400/550 (+1) damage over 5 seconds. Additionally, the effect slows them by 40/50/60% over 5 seconds.

  5. Hate Spike needs to be scrapped. It's just bad and there's probably nothing you can do to make it not bad.
    Extra move speed is nice but replacing her stun with it is gimping her ganking ability.
    DoT ult on a burst damage champ = What?
    First idea that comes to mind: Straight nuke ult that deals extra damage based on the number of debuffs on a champion and restores health/mana on killing blows.
    New passive is ridiculously awesome, probably too much so. I see fiddly rebalancing in its future.
    Leave ravage alone :< I mean removing the directionality of the armor reduction is great but everything else is totally unneeded and not worth reducing the damage it does. Adding a small dash to it would be super mind you, but not worth reducing the damage.
    Also "Exuding Embrace" is a kind of dumb name.
    My rambling reactionary afraid-of-change two cents.

  6. I'm note sure if you are posting it here just to have it posted by a non-Russian site leaking it, or if you are soliciting comment as well.

    In case you are, I do like the changes as far as survivability and Eve's ability to chase. Being unable to react to a stealthed character because of a stun is such a huge thing. With Twitch, he can be attacked right away, albiet he is usually at range. It's good to see the stun go, yet she can still actually force a fight, as she will most likely be able to outspeed them. People are undervaluing the boost to Ravage as far as chasing.

    The ultimate isn't as thrilling. Do we really need more AOE slows? Maybe a personal gripe. My only other concern is Ergonomic. Spamming Q takes a serious toll on the hand for 40 minutes at a time. Any chance of getting it adjusted to just being held down, or even better (ergonomically), a toggle?

  7. People seem to forgot that a whole 1 second doesn't make much of a difference.

    These changes are fantastic, balancing Eve's great burst with a DoT ult was ingenious, along with the extra survivability granted with a speed-boost and armor/MR leach makes her feel like a true assassin.

    This is really great, please implement this soon!

  8. Im really curious about this change, i don't think eve will lose her ganking ability (although the removal of the stun is a bit of pain) and she will be viable in teamfights now with her ult and passive. very interesting, keep up the good work.

  9. I like what I'm seeing...

    Eve's problem is stealth+stun+burst at low Elo, and melee at high Elo. This remake seems to be taking her in the direction of steady damage output with survivability, which is exactly where she needs to go.

  12. I really hope stealth duration gets looked at, 10 seconds at level 1 is really underwhelming, especially since Ravage and her ult are priorities over it yet it is what she is. Maybe 15 seconds at lvl 1 working up to 35 seconds at lvl5.

    Also hopefully her ult can be cast while stealthed to make up for the removal of her stun.

  13. Shurelia, if you read this comment.. you should try to persuade the art department to make her a gorgeous 10 dollar/975 skin or something to trumpet her rework in. I've bought both of her skins when I first got her.. and a new outfit to bring the pain would be much appreciated. :3

    And my two cents, this change fixes her 100%. I like it.. I teared a little inside reading it.

  14. I'd like to see the passive getting bumped up to 15% (at all stages) or 10-20%

    Or just make it what her current ult passive is. (25% enemy hp on champ kill or assist)

  16. Is it really smart to add another champion tailored for much-despised AOE metagame ?
    Also, another generic AOE-DOT+slow ult looks really fishy. Old idea with double-zronyas effect looked much more fun.
    Another point is - do you think that without a stun/snare/slow she has chasing ability to stay on target ?
    Could you consider giving SW a slow/snare/silence effect, if stun was too much to handle ?

  17. Ohmygawd, YOU ARE KILLING THE STEALTH! D: I loved stealthing around for forty seconds following one or two dudes, just waiting to be ganked. >.> xD. And the stun/ravage. The AP scaling being reduced makes me hate a lil, granted I like the looks of the Hate Spike/ulti.

  19. まあ、悪くはないと思うけど、今と違いすぎてまるで新しいキャラクターのような気がします。ちょっと心配なのは、流行のAOEチームの中ではTheftは強すぎると言われるようになって、ライブサーバーに行く前にTheftが弱くされたら、今よりも普通のチームの中でのEveの役目はなくなります。

    シュレリアはこの変更はいいって言うならきっとEveが強くなってるとおもいます。期待しています。

  24. Umm... That's buff? killing ap ratios and dmg? reducing stealth time? taking away stun?
    Now u will make from her champ who goes invis use ulti inside battle + ravage to get armor/m.res. and run! I'd say with her new passive she will be more tank than assasin... No more healing after killing champion, no more jungling as DPS eve (well since changed ulti no more dps eve build...)... Kinda fail... Leave her alone...

  26. 10 second stealth...... this really worries me a lot. I see a nerf to twitches stealth come down soon. So , you removed stun , nerfed the ap on Q , nerfed the dmg on E and halfed the stealth. how does this help me be an assassin again?

  27. Fantastic, I'll give her a shot when she's out. Er, I mean when the changes go through. It would be cool if more of this was done for other champions which get laughed at in ranked games but I understand how much work it is to get balance right.

  28. To be blunt, these changes are dreadful. The improvements to Hate Spike are great, but everything else is pure nerf. Losing the stun leaves Evelynn with NO CC except for her ult- which is only a slow. An AoE DoT spell is a TERRIBLE choice of ult for a supposed assassin class character. While attempting to blatantly push Eve towards being a pure AP champion, these changes also beat the crap out of Ravage, SEVERELY reducing Eve's actual killing power and the defence steal is utterly irrelevent to an assassin. The half duration on Shadow Walk means Eve players will be FORCED to level it earlier for it to be even moderately effective, further reducing Eve's firepower by redirecting levels away from her other skills. In all, this seems less like a buff and more like a massive and uncalled for nerf to the champion already considered the weakest in the game. Do not want!

  29. Her new ravage allows her to survive in team fights.
    Her new Shadow Walk gives her much more ganking mobility, it will be a lot harder to anticipate Eve now.
    Her new ult is just great, a 5 second 60% AoE slow with good damage, that's a very strong ult.
    And her smart hate spike will help alot in team fights.

    All I see is a huge buff to her overall effectiveness at the cost of slightly lower single target burst.

  30. These are the "buffs" you guys are puting to Eve? Why am I not surprised. You (chickadee), Shawn Carnes and Tom Cadwell have no idea how to balance champions.

    You think giving eve a 4 second 14% movement speed is going to help her gank better? a 4 second 14% movement slow would be a better alternative you dolt.

  31. Being an Eve player I love the changes overall. The two things I am concerned about are:

    1) Missing out on that stun. I would gladly trade the 5 second slow for a 2 second stun. The stun was the MOST useful tactic when playing with Eve.

    2) The stealth duration is way too low. 20 seconds at level 1 was hard enough, 10 seconds is hardly useful at all.

    Thanks for putting the time in reworking my favorite character. The passive and ult are SO much better. I will actually be putting points into the ult now :D. I appreciate the hard work.

  32. After going over it a little more I think the speed buff may make up for the shorter duration of stealth.

    I also forgot to ask a question. When do you think this buff will take place? I'm terribly excited to play the new Eve!!!

    Also, will there be any new skins coming out for her too? Maybe to celebrate the new Eve?

  33. Thoughts on each change:
    Passive - SO MUCH BETTER, although with such a horrible passive to begin with, it wasn't hard. That being said, it's still quite nice... she'll be more useful during team fights and she'll be able to stay in lane longer.
    Hate Spike - honestly, the AP scaling "nerf" is tiny, no one needs to complain, especially when the 2nd hit prioritises champions and deals 100% of the damage. Good change here too
    Shadow Walk - here's where I have an issue. Sure, plenty of people have asked for months for a speed increase while stealthed, but honestly, it's not as useful as the stun, especially when you consider that won't be invis for as long. The fade time decrease was needed, so thank you, but other than that, the ability was fine as it was
    Ravage - the damage nerf here I think is a bit much, but with the changes it's necessary... to a point. Easy enough to change though. The rest of it is quite interesting, and nice... shorter cooldown, lower mana cost, steals armor and magic resist, a small leap (which gives her a slight escape mechanism, although I could be wrong). I enjoyed the backstab component (it was kinda fun), but I do prefer not having to do it
    Ultimate - I'm having trouble deciding whether I like this or not... I mean, it's so much better than her old ult and the AOE slow somewhat makes up for the lack of stun (although I'd like to know if she gains this when a champion dies, which I realise is OP, but still. Or if it has a cooldown, how long it is) but as an assassin champion, a DOT spell isn't helpful. This, in conjunction with the nerf to Ravage's damage take away from the assassin part of her, I feel. I would honestly prefer it if it was a straight nuke
    Overall, these are some great changes to what is considered the worst champion. I can see her getting to 3rd or even 2nd tier with these
